The National One You campaign aims to help people move more, eat better, quit smoking, drink less alcohol, sleep better and stress less. This is key in helping us to all live happier, healthier and longer lives. Here, in Hertfordshire, HCC are running Herts One You to support the national campaign and this kicks off on Monday 24th July 2017.
If you would like to help promote #HertsOneYou week to encourage service users to get a little bit healthier we would love for you to get involved!
Please do take the opportunity next week to promote any activities or events you are involved in to help service users become healthier on your social media pages, share case studies you may already have, and encourage members of the public that you are working with to share their own stories as well.
If you’d like to get involved and join the conversation on social media please use the hashtag #HertsOneYou and tag @hertscc so that they can retweet/like/share as many posts as possible and showcase all the great work taking place across Hertfordshire.
For more information and for case studies visit the campaign website.
While we are on the subject of healthier activities for your service users, talk to the SMILE team who have recently received funding to offer fully funded SMILE Fit (exercise) and SMILE Grow (therapeutic horticulture) classes for Herts Care Providers from August 2017 – August 2018! Email mirawest@hcpa.info if you would like more information or to register your interest.
If you’re interested in learning more about Nutrition for your service users HCPA also run a Nutrition Champion course, which starts on 1st November 2017. The course has proved popular and is currently fully booked, but we do sometimes get late cancellations and a space may become available. If you would like to be added to the waiting list please email enquiries@hcpa.info.
