Free workshop in Stevenage: Get ready for CQC and ensure legal compliance by completing your Data Security and Protection Toolkit
We are holding a workshop in Stevenage to help you become legally compliant with GDPR, manage your risks from cyber-attacks, gain free NHS secure email service for your staff teams and prepare for the new funding and tech.
We will do this by guiding you through the Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT)
What is the DSPT? It is a free annual self-assessment to help you check and improve your data and cyber security arrangements. It tells you as simply as possible what care providers need to do in in terms of your policies, processes and procedures, staff training and IT systems to help keep the personal data you are responsible for safe.
Why should I do it?
- DSPT is now required by CQC; they will ask for your published DSPT. CQC will expect providers to comply with the toolkit as a minimum whether you are using digital or paper care records.
- DSPT is required for NHS contracts and increasingly required for Local Authority contracts.
- DSPT will also help you qualify for any current or future digital initiatives or associated funding.
- Ensure you are ready for cyber-attacks. Ensure you know what to do if you breach a person’s personal data (Client, staff, visitor, etc)
Essentially it is a best-practice checklist which tells you what you should be doing. It directs you to templates, tools and guidance you can use to make sure you are putting the right things in place if you don’t have them already.
If you are already operating within the law, the DSPT is 20 mins work. If you are not legally compliant, we can help.
