The CQC have put together some key links to good practice guidance and information for services who support people with a learning disability and/or autistic people.
These have been put together as the CQC is still finding examples of poor and unsafe care and support to people as well as a lack of understanding of what good looks like. By pushing these messages in Hertfordshire, the aim is to help services improve and increase awareness of people’s rights to receive good quality, safe care.
Please ensure you share these links with your staff and read the information available.
- CQC: Right Support, right care, right culture – there are still providers and managers who are not aware of this guidance and a lack of understanding that it is based on national guidance not just CQC guidance.

- We encourage providers to discuss their proposals or development ideas with us before submitting an application or making changes to services. This can help providers make an informed decision about whether plans are likely to comply with this guidance.
