Are you supporting someone with urgent need for a white good?
Hertfordshire Community Navigation Service (HCNS) are now providing white good support for residents in need.
You can apply for white goods if you:
- don’t have enough money to meet your or your family’s immediate needs after an emergency or disaster
- think there will be serious damage or risk to your or your family’s health or safety without the white good
- there is no other help available to you.
To make a referral, please refer the individual to HCNS by completing a referral form which can be found here, save it on ACSIS and email it to the relevant team below (based on your clients area), so they can arrange visit and provide a needs assessment for white goods.

Please note a referral to this pathway is not a guarantee of white goods and the person you support should be advised of this.
If the person you support has other support needs outside of white goods, you can apply on behalf them via: https://www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/was.
More information on eligibility is available on the webpage. As a professional, we will accept a verification email from your professional authorised domain, to verify an individual’s identity. We class Professional as any Professional for a social care organisation or anyone who can legally sign a passport photo.
