Dementia Forward are a charity supporting people living with dementia and their support networks across York and North Yorkshire. In this video, they discuss the specific needs of a person with Young Onset Dementia (YOD) and use a real case study to demonstrate how important it is to provide flexible and bespoke services that are truly person-centred and consider changing needs over time. The video also explains how to make sure that there are appropriate YOD services working in partnership at all stages of support, from diagnosis through to residential care.
In Hertfordshire, we have a number of organisations that are working hard to support people with dementia and their families within the local community.
