Our end-of-life study session aims to support care providers to ensure they are delivering compassionate and effective end- of -life care. Supporting staff ensures they can handle the emotional and practical challenges of end-of-life care.
Ensuring comfort, honouring the patient’s wishes, providing emotional support, and knowing the right actions to take are crucial for the best care.

This session for Managers, Deputies, Unit Leads, Team Leaders and Compliance leads, will focus on roles and responsibilities within all care services to meet current best practice.

The session will focus on day-to-day care including;
• Importance of Advance Care Planning (ACP)
• Delivering Good End-of-Life Care, key considerations, factors that make a good death, and communication.
• Myth Busting, addressing misconceptions and clarifying terms.
• End of life Care Documents, essential documents and legal aspects.
• Roles and Responsibilities, guidance on providing and evidencing care, including ReSPECT forms.
• Support and Decision Making, resources and information sharing.
• Supporting Staff, strategies for staff support and emotional impact.
