Our Prevention and Enablement in Older Persons study session, aims to support care providers to ensure they are delivering a person-centred approach when it comes to care.
Enabling someone to live their best life and knowing the right thing to do should health start to deteriorate is paramount to giving the best possible outcomes to a person’s ongoing care.

This session, for Compliance Leads and Champions, will focus on roles and responsibilities within all care services to meet current best practice. The session will focus on day-to-day care including;

  • Principles of enabling care best practice, requirements within the care act.
  • HCPA support and resources
  • P&E Teams in services Care Home and Homecare
    Falls Management Pathways and Support Services
  • Connected Lives and Regulation and Monitoring
  • Using the right tools- MFRA etc.
  • Goal Setting and Outcomes
  • Meaningful Engagement, Activities of Daily Living and Meaningful Occupation
  • Exercise and Movement in the care service
  • Community Exercise Support- Moving More/ HILS
  • Bed Prevention and Correct Equipment

  Bookings of more than two delegates per site may be amended to allow access to all member organisations at the discretion of HCPA.
  Delegates who are late may not be admitted into the training and a cost incurred.
