One day course at HCPA Campus
This course focuses on falls prevention and Enabling Care.
Recent guidance on the physical and mental health benefits of being more: active, empowered, and independent, now emphasises what has been known in Therapy settings for a long time, and that is: through an enabling approach, people can actually improve, and live longer, better lives!

This same ethos is also important for falls prevention, we know that falls aren’t always preventable, but it is essential that individuals are still improving not only their quality of life but also severity of falls, focusing on better health outcomes for individuals.

Delegates will learn new skills from our qualified Physiotherapist, enhancing knowledge and practical skills, which will allow them to help individuals improve such things as sit to stand, mobility, and positioning.

Learning objectives:
• Outline the most effective methods to help reduce falls
• Identify common risk factors
• Understand the importance of exercise
• Understand how to risk assess falls using a multi-factorial risk assessment

*Please note: As per our T&C’s, this course carries a fee in the event of non-attendance, non-completion or late cancellation.
Bookings of more than two delegates per site may be amended to allow access to all member organisations at the discretion of HCPA.
Delegates who are late may not be admitted into the training and a cost incurred.
