This Manager and Compliance Study session is dedicated to care and support planning in homecare services.
This session is focused on building knowledge and understanding best practice in accurate outcomes-focused care planning and recording in line with The Connected Lives Model.
Topics will be linked to local guidance/ monitoring and CQC standards and includes presentations from local teams and specialists.
Sessions are focused towards managers, leaders and compliance leads who play a key part in disseminating best practice and oversee governance processes within care settings.

Certificates of attendance will be issued; these are a great way for managers to evidence CPD to the CQC and local monitoring teams.

Importance of Accurate and Outcomes-Focused Care Planning and Recording
• Best Practice: Learn the latest best practices in care planning to ensure high-quality, person-cantered care.
• CQC Requirements: Understand the Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements to ensure compliance and excellence in care standards.
• Roles and Responsibilities: Clarify the roles and responsibilities involved in the care planning process to enhance teamwork and accountability.
• Digital Care Records: Explore the benefits of digital care records for efficient and accurate documentation.
Comprehensive Care Planning Journey
Pre-Care Plan Creation:
• Conduct thorough needs assessments
Care Planning Resource:
• Develop detailed care plans
• Involve individuals in the planning process
Post Care Planning – Reviews and Audits:
• Regularly review and update care plans
• Conduct audits to ensure continuous improvement
Special Focus Areas
• Capacity and Consent: Ensure decisions respect the capacity and consent of individuals.
• Advance Care Planning: Plan for future care needs and preferences.
• Regulation and Monitoring: Stay informed about regulatory expectations and monitoring processes.
