For experienced Care professionals in a Senior position or enhanced responsibilities, a natural progression after achieving the Level 2 Diploma in Care.
The Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care qualification develops the knowledge and skills needed when working in care settings.
The qualification is formed of mandatory units covering core competencies, and optional units allowing learners to tailor their qualification to reflect the context of their work.
What are the entry requirements?
Learners should be working in an adult care setting to be able to show competence in both knowledge and skills
Learners should have completed the Care Certificate.
Learners would have ideally completed the Level 2 Diploma in Care
Learners should have a strong understanding of the English language
How many credits are required to complete it?
Learners must achieve a minimum of 58 credits to gain this qualification, 39 credits from the mandatory units and a minimum of 19 credits from the optional units. A minimum of 35 credits must be achieved at level 3 or above.
How is it assessed?
This qualification is assessed by an Assessor using a portfolio of evidence.
How long will it take to complete this qualification?
Learners can usually complete the qualification within 9-12 months.
What progression opportunities are there?
Upon completion, learners could progress their career into a more senior role or take on higher responsibilities.
