This four-day Train the Trainer course is designed to provide participants with the necessary knowledge and tools for delivering high-quality training to internal staff, equipping own staff with the information and tools they need to ensure best practice in the subject area.
The course is suitable for staff who have the responsibility to deliver training to staff at a high standard within their organisations and are committed to supporting staff with their own professional development.
To achieve this course, delegates will need to sufficiently pass:
• Knowledge assessment of effective training
• Knowledge assessment of subject topic
• Teaching observation
Upon successful completion, participants will receive approved resources to help them effectively train their colleagues.
Learning objectives:
• Understand specific standards necessary to ensure staff provide high-quality care and support
• Understand the legal/regulatory obligations that care staff possess adequate training
• Understand the connection between training and development and fundamental standards
• Understand and adapt training methods to accommodate various learning styles
• Understand the importance of effective communication skills for training delivery
• Effectively deliver training to enable attendees to develop subject matter knowledge

Bookings of more than two delegates per site may be amended to allow access to all member organisations at the discretion of HCPA.
Delegates who are late may not be admitted into the training and a cost incurred.
