Our Healthy Lifestyles for Adult Disability Services study session, aims to support care providers to deliver a tailored approach when supporting a person with complex needs and disabilities.
Often people with a learning disability have considerable, and often multiple, physical and mental health conditions. They’re at increased risk of developing chronic conditions from both genetic and lifestyle factors.
This session, for Compliance Leads and Champions, will focus on roles and responsibilities within all care services to meet current best practice. The session will focus on day-to-day care including;
• LeDer and health inequalities, how much do you know?
• Nutrition and Weight Management- Practical Day to day knowledge and responsibilities of care providers to follow including where to get support.
• Healthy Eating-
• Lifestyles and Wellbeing- Meaning and purpose
• Other Impacts – Co-Risks- Conditions, Comorbidity, Medications
• Consent and Capacity
• New Weight Management Services and other Tier 2 Services and Digital Program
• Summary of All Services and Routes Available
• Physical Activity, Posture and Mobility
• Regulation and Monitoring- What is expected?
