Thank you for your continued efforts to minimise the spread of both COVID and flu so far this winter. Unfortunately, both COVID and flu continue to circulate in homes across Hertfordshire and as such we have updated our pathway to assist you when you have service users with symptoms of a possible respiratory illness.
With so much focus on COVID over recent years we feel it is important that you are confident to perform an LFD early and if negative think about other viruses such as flu, this pathway will guide you through what to do if it’s not COVID.
Remember to report any possible outbreaks of flu to UKHSA Health Protection Team (HPT) at EastOfEnglandHPT@UKHSA.gov.uk or 0300 303 8537 outbreaks of COVID should also continue to be reported.
