On Monday 31st of January 2022 the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care announced that there will be a consultation on ending vaccination as a condition of deployment in health and all social care settings.
This regulation was introduced for staff working in care homes on 11th November 2021. While the consultation is ongoing, the law requires CQC to regulate providers in a proportionate way to ensure that they follow the regulations as they currently stand. However, CQC will not seek to re-rate any services which have already or are found to be in breach of this requirement whilst the consultation is ongoing.
