Sharing the views of Care Home managers
Care home managers and operators are invited to give their views on fire safety in a Government call for evidence.
Responding to recommendations made in the Hackett review of building regulations and fire safety, the Government is now inviting owners, operators and residents of multi-occupancy buildings in England to have their say on the effectiveness of current regulation and engagement systems.
The call for evidence is open until 12 February, 2019 and responses can be made online.
All owners / managers / residents of multi-occupancy buildings are invited to respond, whilst comments from those associated with high rise (five to six storey buildings) are particularly welcome. The Government says that “requirements on landlords and building managers to provide more information and engage more effectively with residents on building safety will drive a step change in how they support residents to play their part in maintaining a safe building.”
If you are interested in having a better understanding about Fire Safety and have not previously attended a fire safety workshop with HCPA, please book on to HCPA’s Fire Safety Study Day on the 22nd of May, 2019 (Wednesday) that will be conducted by the Herts Fire Service at Longfield Auditorium in Stevenage.
