We know that learning from our mistakes is one of the most effective ways to avoid making mistakes in the future, but learning from other people’s mistakes can be even more effective in helping us to avoid preventable errors.
The CQC have put together a range of resources called ‘Learning from Safety Incidents’ that outline a critical issue, what happened, what CQC and the provider did about it, and the steps other providers can take to avoid it happening in their service.
