Mental Health Awareness week was earlier this month, but it’s important to keep it at the forefront of our minds, particularly due to the often stressful nature of working in adult social care and the impact it can have on those working in the sector.
Workplace stress can lead to increased staff churn, increased absences, low morale and more errors. Do you know how you can help minimise workplace stress? Skills for Care have created a guide to help you build up staff resilience, called ‘Greater Resilience, Better Care’ as well as a host of advice on the topic that you may find very useful. Visit their website to learn more.
Here at HCPA, we had a fantastic response to our Workforce Wellbeing: Mental Ill Health for Managers CPD event last year, and we are hoping to run another similar event this year. If you would be interested in attending a similar event or course with HCPA please email contact@hcpa.info to register your interest and we’ll get back to you if a suitable course becomes available.
