FREE workshop “People on the margins of Palliative Care”
The West Hertfordshire Palliative and End of Life Care Education Group are running a free workshop focussing on People on the Margins of Palliative Care to improve understanding of the needs of seldom heard communities within palliative care.
It’s completely free to attend the workshop and is suitable for all staff working within palliative care.
The content of the workshops will include:
- Setting the scene: Who accesses palliative care?
- What is the reality for seldom heard communities, including:
- LGBT communities
- Travelling communities
- Homeless communities
- Black and Ethnic communities
- People with Learning Disabilities
- Identifying useful tools and strategies to help overcome challenges faced by such communities
