Who is the training aimed at?
Health workforce Social care workforce Family, parent, sibling carers and personal assistants of people who need care Any person who requires a general awareness of medication management
Course Learning Outcomes:
Describe your responsibility and accountability in relation to administration of medication
Describe how to use a person centred approach in the administration of medication
Recognise the impact of poor practice in the administration of medication Identify what is meant by a medication error and reasons why an error may occur
Describe the appropriate action when a medication error occurs
Describe the correct procedure for supply, storage, administration and recording of medications
What resources would be made available to the course attendees?
Attendees will receive: Handouts Practice Tools and Resources Certificate of Completion
How will it look like on the day? The training session will be interactive, and will offer a fully immersive learning experience that is enhanced by small group learning. All learners will have the opportunity to engage directly with the trainers, take part in interactive activities and share learning with others in focused discussions.
