This course, for managers and leaders, empowers leaders to understand legal and ethical frameworks that guide end-of-life care. Delegates will learn the significance of adhering to quality and safety standards, and how to effectively facilitate and document advance care planning. The course highlights the promotion of interdisciplinary collaboration, ensuring comprehensive care.
Learning objectives:
• Recognise and understand end-of-life care Legal and Ethical Frameworks
• Understand the need for Policies and Procedures with specific consideration to those relevant for end-of-life care.
• Understand the importance of Quality and Safety Standards.
• Identify when and how to facilitate Advance Care Planning including documentation.
• Understand how to promote Interdisciplinary collaboration
• Recognise when and why staff may need support including bereavement support and where this support can be accessed.
