2 hour course via Zoom
This course provides delegates with an understanding of mental health and its causes. Delegates will develop an appreciation of what mental ill-health feels like and the symptoms that may be experienced, how it effects the person and those closest to them. Delegates will gain an understanding of ways in which mental ill-health can be managed and treated, especially through good practice in care. Learners will also be signposted to helpful places for any support that may be required.

Learning Outcomes
* Explain what is meant by mental health
* Recognise social and effects of mental ill-health
* Explain how to respond to Mental Health issues
* Identify person centred support strategies and how to implement them
