The general election is set to take place across the country on Thursday the 4th of July 2024.

Below are some useful links to help residents prepare to vote in this year’s election.

The Electoral Commission is currently urging residents across the country to prepare ahead of the election. Anyone who wants to have their say in the general election must be registered to vote by Tuesday the 18th of June 2024 if they have not already done so.

For the first time, voters will need to show photographic ID to vote in a UK parliamentary general election. The Electoral Commission says that organisations working directly with voters, including local authorities and charities, can help voters make sure they have an accepted form of photo ID.
