If you don’t know about The Hertfordshire Directory, you could be missing out.
It is an online local government platform, completely free of charge, which brings together services, groups, and providers across Hertfordshire, who offer beneficial and/or therapeutic assistance to the local community. Providers can request a login and then create their own professional profile; including key information such as who they support, when and where they work and their costs if applicable. These profiles are checked by Herts County Council to ensure they are appropriate and kept up to date.
There is already a wide range of great listings in the Directory from day centres and dance groups to food banks and family centres, but there is plenty of room for more, and we would like to invite care providers to sign up and reap the benefits of reaching a wider audience. As the Directory has been around for a while, and is a reputable source of information, it shows up highly when people are searching the internet for the help they need.
Herts County Council also have a project to make improvements to the Directory so that it becomes even more useful and easy to use. They welcome feedback about this and if you have any queries or issues, please contact Anne Ardley at web.team@hertfordshire.gov.uk or come and talk to them at our next Network Event on 30th April 2024.
