Terminology needs to be clear and straightforward; try to avoid using abbreviations and in the first instance, instead state the full term clearly.
Person/Individual: Refers to the person receiving care and support. It is recommended that providers move away from using the term ‘Service User’.
Care and Support Plan: it is recommended that you use the term Care and Support Plan to replace care plan.
Care Professional: Refers to staff providing care to a person receiving the care and support.
